The Rondo Piano Academy, a small and cosy music centre, is home to musicians who love to teach.  You need only attend one of our regular student performances to see how successful our approach to the development of musicianship and piano technique is.

For the 39-week 2007-2008 season, Rondo is pleased to offer the following programmes:

* Please note, there is a $30 registration fee for each student to cover access to our music library and concerts throughout the year.

This 10-week programme is designed to introduce young people to the basics of music notation and keyboard.  In small groups of 4, through individual instruction, children learn the fundamentals of the music language through musical stories and specially designed songs and games.  Parental participation and the acquisition of required books are at the discretion of the instructors.

One 45 minute lesson per week : $150/ 10 weeks

The Sharp Programme (ages 5 - 18)

The Sharp Piano Programme is the hallmark of our academy.  Thanks to the generous sponsorship of this program through the Rondo Music Society, our students enjoy the benefits of attending two Sharp lessons each week for the price of one!

The Sharp Piano Programme is designed for students wishing to learn solid piano technique, allowing them later to specialize in different styles of playing (classical, jazz, pop, etc.)  The curriculum of the programme is largely based on Russian piano methodology, with great emphasis on tone formation and expressiveness.  Students enrolled in this programme have the opportunity to participate in a variety of concerts, festivals, and community events.

This programme is open to anyone who would like to learn or further polish their piano playing.  Private lessons are individually tailored to meet the needs and goals of each student and may begin at any time throughout the season.

One 30 minute lesson per week : $100/month
One 45 minute lesson per week : $120/month
One 60 minute lesson per week : $160/month

Payments:
Rondo requires four postdated cheques (15 weeks) for Term One (until December 16th 2007) and six postdated cheques (24 weeks) for Term Two, (until June 23rd 2008).  A $20 charge will be added to returned cheques.

Withdrawal:
Please provide one weeks notice, either verbal or written, directly to Tatiana Harrison prior to withdrawal from any programme.

Make-up Lessons:
In the event of missed lessons due to sickness or other circumstances beyond your control, we will offer one make-up lessons per month.  Trips, parties and private engagements are not considered as legitimate excuses for missing lessons.  A full refund will be issued to students if their lessons are cancelled by Rondo.
